WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE CHARACTERS IN HARRY POTTER AFTER THE DEATH HALLOWS?

 J. K. Rowling's beloved Harry Potter franchise ended epically when The Boy Who Lived heroically defeated Lord Voldemort and saved the wizarding world! The series may be over, but the characters are very much alive in the minds and hearts of everyone who loves them, and it's completely natural to wonder what happened to your favorite Harry Potter characters after the shocking events of Harry Potter and the World of Harry Potter. Relics Happened!

Fortunately for fans who can't seem to put the Harry Potter series aside, and I count myself in that category, J.K. Rowling has revealed a lot of information in the years since the last book was published.

Take a look at what happened to all the major Harry Potter characters below:

HERMINE GRANGER

After the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Hermione returned to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to complete her education and complete her N.E.W.T. Exams After school, Hermione worked at the Ministry of Magic in two departments, the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. During her tenure at the Ministry of Magic, Hermione fought for better treatment for house-elves and worked tirelessly to eradicate outdated laws favoring pure-blood wizards and witches. Hermione eventually became Minister for Magic, the highest role in the Ministry of Magic, succeeding Kingsley Shacklebolt.

After Lord Voldemort's defeat, Hermione married Ron Weasley and the couple eventually formed a family, and Hermione had two children: Rose and Hugo Granger-Weasley. Hermione has also been called the godmother of Harry and Ginny's first child, James Sirius.

In the years since the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, we have also learned that Hermione translated the Beedle The Bard stories into English, as the original was written in runes. Hermione appeared in chocolate frog cards along with Harry and Ron.

NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM

After the end of the Second Wizarding War, Neville joined Harry Potter and Ron Weasley in the Ministry of Magic as Auror (receiver of dark wizards). However, the young wizard only held the position for a short time, as he was later offered a position as a professor of herbalism at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Neville was a hero to many Hogwarts students, often sharing his experiences as a member of Dumbledore's army and displaying his Dumbledore army coin that he and the other members kept as souvenirs. Neville married Hannah Abbott, a Hufflepuff student who was also a member of Dumbledore's army. For a time, the couple lived above The Leaky Cauldron, where Hannah worked as a landlady. Although the couple never had children, they are believed to have extremely happy lives.

After the events of the last book/movie, Neville kept in touch with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the rest of Dumbledore's army and was eventually named godfather to Harry and Ginny's second son, Albus Potter.

LUNA LOVEGOOD

After the shocking events of The Deathly Hallows and Lord Voldemort's defeat, Luna Lovegood left Hogwarts and became a magizoologist (someone who studies magical creatures).

Luna met and married Rolf Scamander, the grandson of the famous Newt Scamander, while he was working as a magizoologist. The couple ended up having twin sons, Lorcan and Lysander, and we bet they're just as quirky as their mother!

After her time at Hogwarts, Luna kept in touch with her old school friends and was undoubtedly honored when Harry and Ginny decided to name their daughter Lily Luna Potter.

DRACO MALFOY

As fans of Harry Potter costume, no doubt know, Draco Malfoy was extremely torn between the light side and the dark side. While attempting to kill Albus Dumbledore and participating in several Death Eater activities, he never took his side and sat on the fence until the end of the series. After Harry saved his life during the Battle of Hogwarts, Draco's eyes widened a bit to the truth and he began to see that his views on Muggle-born witches and wizards were extremely wrong. After all, the people Draco was raised to hate showed a lot of kindness, and, in Harry's case, they saved his life.
